Cathy Nam, a longtime communications executive, has joined Universal Filmed Entertainment Group as senior vp, global communications.

The executive is moving from New Line Cinema, the Warner Bros. division where he spent more than two decades honing his public relations skills.

According to Tuesday’s announcement, Nam will help lead integrated communications strategy efforts across UFEG’s global portfolio, working with partners and production divisions including creative development, production, acquisitions, marketing and distribution, home entertainment and franchise management .
