Elizabeth Olsen advises actors to initially tackle only one Marvel project: “This way you have more control”

Elizabeth Olsen shares some advice for actors who are looking to make the leap into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During a recent interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcasts with Josh Horowitz, the Wanda Vision the star said he tells actors they should initially only take on one Marvel project, rather than signing up for multiple projects at first.
“That way you have more control,” the actress explained. “Let’s say you’re like, ‘Oh my god, this was the funniest moment I’ve ever had and I love this character so much. I want to do it again.’ Now you have more creative controls for the next one.

Since 2014, Olsen has portrayed Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in several MCU projects, including two Captain America movie, three avengers movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the series Wanda Visionwhich earned her an Emmy nomination.
As for the future of his career, Olsen has made it clear that he has no desire to sign on to another ongoing franchise.
“It’s almost like you see my past and you see a road here and a road here, and I’ve been down this road, and now I’m trying to make a left turn a little bit… swerve back a little bit,” he explained .
In recent years, Olsen said she’s been trying to find her “rootedness along the way,” but she’s also struggled with turning down projects.
“I think when I started having job opportunities where it wasn’t me, just like auditioning for literally anything and everything — I also love doing it — I didn’t really understand how to say no to projects or how to decipher whether or not I should do something or not”, the Loving death the actress said.
“I didn’t really have a philosophy or a plan, and I still don’t really have a plan, but I think more than a philosophy,” he added. “And it’s good to know and it’s good to have and that’s good information when you look at projects with that kind of focus and knowledge now.”
