Jamie Lynn Spears said to reunite with her Pacific Coast Academy team for Zoë 102 it was a “surreal” experience.
During an interview with Entertainment tonightPosted online Thursday, the actress opened up about how the upcoming film materialized, saying it was a “moment to pinch a bunch of times.”
“It’s something we’ve worked very hard for years to get right, being patient to make sure it’s right, putting the right things in place,” she said. “And then it’s like a dream come true. It’s this thing that you’ve talked about and worked on and tried to bring to life.

Spears added that she almost couldn’t believe it was real until filming began. “The first day I walked onto set, I was like, ‘Oh my god, we really did it. We’re here, we’re doing this, so it’s surreal,” she said.
Zoë 102sequel to the hit Nickelodeon series, Zoë 101, sees Zoey (Spears) and a few of her fellow PCA alumni reunite for the wedding of Quinn (Erin Sanders) and Logan (Matthew Underwood). Sean Flynn, Christopher Massey and Abby Wilde also reprise their roles as Chase, Michael and Stacey respectively.
The actress said she always dreamed of having the opportunity to revisit her character, which was such a big part of her childhood. “It’s one of those things that I wasn’t sure if it could ever happen,” she added. “But I’ve always dreamed of being able to do that and see where she is.”
Prior to the film, the cast also staged a pandemic reunion on the sketch comedy show, Everythingas well as posting a TikTok video together in October 2020.
Spears also told the outlet that she doesn’t just give credit to the cast and crew for bringing the reunion movie to life.
“The fans are the only reason we have to do it the first time around and they are definitely the only reason we can do it the second time around,” he said. “After that (first meeting) was when we really started saying, ‘We have to hurry up and do this.’ So we worked hard and finally brought it to life and it’s all thanks to the fans.”
Spears added that the film was “definitely worth the wait” for. “I think we’ve done them (the fans) justice,” she continued. “I think they will be really happy.”
Zoë 102 arrives on Paramount+ on July 27.
