Jennifer Lawrence provides updates on the slow development of the sibling comedy she’s co-writing with Amy Schumer

Jennifer Lawrence shares an update on the comedy script she’s been working on with Amy Schumer after first teasing her years ago.

During his Monday appearance on Bravo’s Watch What’s Happening Live, a fan asked Lawrence about the lengthy development process of the project. In 2015, she told the Oscar winner The New York Times that she and Schumer had co-written a script for a film they intended to star in as sisters.

“OK, if you know anything about Amy and I, it’s that we’re lazy,” Lawrence joked WWHL. “It’s not that it’s off, it’s on. It’s just going at our pace.

Cohen went on to share that Mengers was “a lot of fun to smoke joints with.” This led Lawrence to reply, “Oh, my God, I want to come ask questions and hear stories.”

When you talk to The New York Times in 2015, Lawrence explained that the script he was writing with Schumer “just came out of us.” He also added at the time, “Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different tastes. It was the funniest experience of my life.”

Schumer, who plays a role in the upcoming film this year Trolls unitemade headlines this week thanks to his comedy series Inside Amy Schumer being among the titles that Paramount+ removed from the platform for financial reasons.
