Jennifer Lopez’s feature film Unstoppable it’s the latest film to shut down indefinitely as the writers’ strike continues to disrupt the industry.
unstoppable, Which comes from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Artists Equity, was filming in Los Angeles and was disrupted by pickets earlier in the week. The hope now is to resume on an indefinite date. Expiration first reported the news.
Unstoppable follows in the footsteps of Aziz Ansari’s feature film Lionsgate Good luck, which closed indefinitely two weeks ago in the midst of production after facing picketing. He hopes to resume production after the strike. Meanwhile, Marvel Studios Lama AND Lightning decided not to go into production until the strike was over. (Marvel scripts have been known to evolve during filming.)
Unstoppable is the second Artists Equity feature to follow Airthe film set in the 80s centered on Nike’s battle to sign an endorsement deal with a young Michael Jordan.
Jharrel Jerome stars opposite Lopez in Unstoppable, which centers on real-life wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg and became an NCAA champion. Longtime editor Billy Goldenberg, who won an Academy Award for Affleck’s Argonsteps into the director’s chair for the first time with Unstoppable.
