Companythe sci-fi thriller from the team behind last year’s horror hit Barbarianfound the value of a friends call sheet.
Lukas Gage, Megan Suri and Harvey Guillén have joined the feature film project which marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Drew Hancock.
The trio unite The boys stars Jack Quaid in the story whose plot details are being kept under wraps, but is described as a standalone thriller.
Producers are Raphael Margules and JD Lifshitz of BoulderLight, Roy Lee Zach Cregger of Vertigo. Cregger wrote and directed last year’s Barbarian which was produced by BoulderLight and Vertigo.

Cage is one of the stars of the Netflix sensation You and starred in the critically acclaimed film Like blowing up an oil pipeline which premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival. He also recently wrapped production on the Max series Dead boy detective as well as the Amazon/MGM remake of Road House directed by Doug Liman.
Suri may be best known for appearing in Mindy Kaling’s hit Netflix series I have never, whose latest season arrives on June 8. She ended up with top billing Lives inside, a horror thriller by Bishal Dutta which won the Midnighters Audience Award at this year’s SXSW Film Festival and will be released theatrically by Neon later this year. She also recently starred in the episode “The Night Shift” of the acclaimed series Peacock Poker face played by Natasha Lyonne.
Guillén is best known for playing the infamous vampire “Guillermo de la Cruz” in the Emmy Award-winning FX comedy series What do we do in the shadows, now in its sixth season. He is already in the Warner Bros./New Line group thanks to a role in the upcoming DC superhero film, Blue Beetlewhich opens on August 18. Guillén also voiced the cute dog “Perrito” in the acclaimed DreamWorks Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
